Can you test my EV or plug-in hybrid?
Support varies by make, model and year. See the vehicle compatibility information and send us your registration so we can confirm support and the report information available.
Is this the same as checking the 12V battery?
No. This service assesses the high-voltage traction battery that powers the vehicle, rather than its small 12V auxiliary battery.
What does the £99 price include?
The supported battery health assessment, a Generational certificate, an explanation of the results and a mobile visit within 10 miles of our Loughborough base. We cover approximately 30 miles from LE12 8UU. Travel beyond the included 10 miles costs £1 per additional mile of the one-way journey only, not the return journey; we confirm the total before booking. Dealership bulk discounts are available on request.
Does a battery check guarantee future performance?
The certificate records the assessment at the time of testing. It does not guarantee future range or battery life, and the service does not include repairs or a warranty. We can discuss whether a finding needs further investigation.
How long does the appointment take?
The diagnostic read is only part of the visit. Vehicle access, setup and explaining the certificate also take time. We confirm the expected appointment length for your vehicle when arranging the booking.
How charged should the battery be?
Preparation requirements vary by vehicle and supported test. Ask us before charging specifically for the appointment; we confirm any required charge level and vehicle-access arrangements when you book.
What is a good battery State of Health?
There is no universal pass percentage for every used EV. Consider the result alongside its age, specification, warranty and the journeys you need to make. A 90% SoH result is not a claim that exactly 90% of the battery’s life remains.
Can this help before the battery warranty ends?
A dated assessment can give you information to discuss with the manufacturer. It does not approve a warranty claim or extend cover; the manufacturer decides eligibility under its own terms and may require its own investigation.
Do you charge for the return journey?
No. The £99 price includes 10 miles from LE12 8UU. We charge £1 for each additional mile of the one-way journey only, within our approximate 30-mile service area. Send your postcode for confirmation.
Does this replace an MOT, vehicle inspection or repair?
No. This service assesses supported high-voltage battery data. It is separate from an MOT, a full pre-purchase vehicle inspection, fault repairs and a 12V battery test.
