Aftermarket Part Cause of my issue?

Mazda CX-5 2.2 – Faulty DPF Sensor

Using genuine parts when repairing your vehicle is absolutely crucial, as today’s patient clearly demonstrated. This customer contacted us due to a recurring fault code, specifically P2452 – Diesel Particulate pressure sensor A – Circuit Malfunction. To address the issue, we conducted our customary comprehensive diagnostic assessment. Initially, we confirmed that the pressure sensor itself was indeed functional based on our scanner’s readings. However, we noticed something peculiar – the pressure reading appeared abnormally high when the vehicle was at idle.

To delve deeper, we proceeded to measure the pressure inside the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) using our trusty manometer. Astonishingly, the reading we obtained differed significantly from what the sensor indicated. It’s important to note that the sensor had been relatively recently replaced by another garage. Fortunately, the vehicle owner had kept the original sensor, so we requested it and promptly installed it. Miraculously, the new sensor now accurately mirrors the pressure reading determined by our manometer. This has solved the issue the customer was having.
